I built this to help you on your water photography journey.
I'm Tommy Pierucki. I'm a surf and water photographer, and almost everything I create happens in or around the ocean. I've spent years learning my craft and am fortunate enough to be able to pass along my learnings to you. These guides are a great kicking off point whether you're just getting started or you need to up your game. Either way, I'm not here to gatekeep, I'm here to help like so many people that helped me along the way.
The work
I'm one of the photographers for the World Surf League Longboard Tour, so a lot of my year is spent shooting the best longboarders in the world at contests around the world. Along the way my work has landed five covers on Pacific Longboarder, and it has run in The Surfer's Journal, Esquire, Hana Hou! and Surfer Magazine. I've worked with brands like Birdwell Beach Britches, Pelican, Roxy, Quicksilver, RVCA, Tenōre, and many more.
Why this store exists
For years people have asked me to teach this. How to start, how to edit, where to swim, how to hold the camera while the ocean moves you around, how I get the color and the light. I love these questions. So I put the answers into guides and presets you can actually use, plus a line of prints made to hang on a wall.
